Ghost Hunters Burlington County Prison Norwich Connecticut
After the Ghost Hunters season premier I had a big question come in my mind about the “fiction” in the name of SciFi Channel. This is actually a wonderful thing because that means I have no explanation or recourse. However it came to mine that perhaps SciFi Channel could go on record before Ghost Hunters says that something to the effect of “All materials presented during TAPS investigation is presented unaltered, modify, cut, or filtered form.” I think this would go a long way to preserve in people’s mind their credibility. I know for me it would.
This episode is one that didn’t have a lot of good evidence most of it I would rank it on the “weak” side. Of the prison I thought that the video they showed clearly looked like some type of car light. I understand it was thermal and it was walled in, but the cut of the hall way and the way it looked was car lights.
Phantom Smells. I’m so surprised this still gets air time. It’s long been proved that there are millions of reasons for that smell. Beside it being one of the most easy senses that your brain can fool you, the sources can all be long lasting from time ago. Everyone has seen what happens to a room with smokers. Well ever see what happens when people paint over that? It can chip and every time someone walks the floor or brush the wall you smell cigarette smoke. Terrafirma or whatever building type that the prison was made of would of retained this well and being all connected floor and celling quakes will happen and release smells.
The only other remarkable thing is the usage of this phrase, it seems to be sticking “When and doubt, better throw it out”. The Great Hawk, Robb Demarest, and Jason Hawes. It’s a good rule I love to see it used.
