Ghost Hunters International (Black Horse)
Overall interesting and it’s nice to see the team grow but they still continue to call places haunted without evidence and I have yet to see anything really interesting from this show. I also noticed Sci-fi bills it more and more as the #1 paranormal show, when the original of course isn’t running.
Black Horse Inn (rosary alert, sorry Donna)
I’m pleased to see a few things with the team. In particular this Tri-meter. I love these things but it’s curious how GHI would be using them. In the show you see Barry and Brian talking with this suppose entity named Will the Baliff. They ask a question then you hear a emf buzz. They ask a question then you hear the emf buzz. People seem to automatically think cause and effect without even testing.
I question the cutting of the film and would like to know how many questions that were asked that didn’t get a response. Was there 1? You have to look at communication with entities as more than yes ‘mean anything is a sign’ and no ‘the absence of anything is a sign’. In other words absences of sign does not mean no, and something happening doesn’t mean yes, regardless of medium. This won’t hold up against skeptics. I mean really does ‘will the balif’ from beyond the death is communicating through electronic magnetic field detector’s beeper (emfs don’t make a sound) that he would like to ‘dance with donna’ by making it beep. REALLY? I mean REALLY folks?
As for the field, I spent the better part of this evening researching one particular thing I wanted to try and find. Weaker magnetic fields or electromagnetic fields below 2 milli Gaussian .
I went back to my physics class book in particular thermodynamics and the moving and brushing of air molecules. I went and grabbed my meter and went to my heater. Sure enough up to 15 ft away I can get some sort of reading. But then again it could just be unpairred wires in the wall next to me, or below me. Older the place the higher the likelihood and you shouldn’t rely on emfs detection.
I will agree that the timing was interestingly coincidental. But without seeing all the data I can’t say if it’s significant. As for the EVP they had it was a “pa-haps” kind of sounded to me more like wood movement but it’s so hard to tell over the TV. Bottomline it was a lower class EVP.
But guess what GHI says “Haunted”. I screamed and threw my pen at the tv. I don’t know what kind of guideline this guy uses. I think it’s something like 1 EVP regardless of class makes a place haunted, I don’t know.
Elvey Farms The Haunted Woods
Okay when I saw the preview for this last week I was like great… I don’t know if you have ever been out in the woods in the middle of the night, but they are scary. You always hear whispers, screams, crys, laughter etc. Why because there are all types of weird animals, bugs, and most of all wind and breezes in the trees.
I don’t know how many times I’ve been following what I thought was some type of animal only to find two branches rubbing against each other next to a small spring of water. Can we say singing and whispers in the woods? I just couldn’t imagine investigating woods and expecting to get anything good.
Thankfully they came back with a bunch of debunking and it wasn’t going to turn into a zak bagans ghost adventure. They said elvey farms “there is not paranormal activity here”.
I did find hilarious to watch Barry taking a dive at the end in Sherwood. I didn’t know what was funny his costume or his tripping this was totally a monty python moment.
