The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms - this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness. ( Albert Einstein - The Merging of Spirit and Science)

Portland Paranormal Society has no religious affiliations but we are still required to make sense of what we have collected.   Have we really found proof of the afterlife?  What would this mean when it comes to acceptance of faiths and beliefs?

There are many theories and explainations to what we are finding but no one in the masses has scientifically without a doubt have found evidence that proves in everyone’s mind what they are seeing.     One of the more litnus tests for evidence we find is the repeatable behavior.   Do we find the same situation happening in the same or similar way each time?

For a paranormal investigator that is an impressively tall order.   In essence it’s a question of if human or once-human behavior is fairly repeatable at all.  In my opinion we are mostly creatures of habit and thus would continue in the after-life.   Who knows really but this is one of the rules you must use.   If you think about this then when you EVP sessions, EMF, Thermal, Infrared, whatever it is you are using remember the repeatable rule.

An example would be if you were to sit down for an EVP session and start asking questions, or whatever it is you do.

You receive what you perceive to be a response.

You should immediately repeat and see if you get the same response.

This does two things, it helps narrow down the possibility of random noise, it also gives you something to compare against in analysis.   This should then be followed up by ‘dud question’, something that there should be no answer to.    This way if you receive a response once again you can establish  more information about the response, also the likelihood whatever is worldly.

In the Paranormal Handbook we are soon to be publishing we will go over some good ground rules to know
